The Art of Imperfect Adulting Marks 250 Episodes of Real Stories from Women Navigating Life’s Hardest Chapters
MIAMI, Fla., Oct. 6, 2026. The Art of Imperfect Adulting (TAOIA), the independent audio podcast and video show hosted by Amy Stone, releases its 250th episode on Tuesday, Oct. 6. The show features women talking candidly about the chapters of life that don’t go to plan: career reinvention, divorce, caregiving, sobriety, menopause, money setbacks, and starting over.
TAOIA ranks in the top 3% of podcasts globally, according to podcast search engine Listen Notes. Current stats show more than 18,000 audio downloads and 87,000 views on YouTube. The show content library is organized into seven areas of life: Body, Brain, Family, Fun, House, Money, and Profession. Its most-watched YouTube episode is a conversation with Terri Pease who married a man with Parkinson’s and how that decision impacted her life, while its most-downloaded audio episode features Devon Adrianne on deciding to stop being a people pleaser.
“I started this show because stories of lived experience helped me when I needed them,” said Stone. “I didn’t want just the highlight reel. I wanted to ask women why they made the choices they did, and then let them tell what happened next in their own words. What I hear most from listeners is that the show feels human and real. Two hundred and fifty episodes later, that’s still the goal of every conversation.”
The 250th episode features Evelyn LeVasseur, who shares her own story of body positivity and raising daughters. Like every TAOIA guest, she was chosen for her lived experience, not a professional title. On TAOIA, guests suggest their own topics, and episodes air in the order guests book them. After 250 conversations and over 1000 guest pitches, Stone says that is the most significant thing the show has revealed: so many women have stories of change and transformation, and they want to share these stories with the world.
TAOIA is actually Stone’s second podcast to rank in the global top 3% on Listen Notes. Her first, Mile after Mile, launched in 2016.
