New York, NY — Shared Manifest Entertainment today announced the release of Donne di Fora, the third season of its fiction podcast anthology Tales From The Aether. Blending historical fiction, immigrant narratives, and magical realism, the new season premieres June 16, 2026, on all major podcast platforms.

Co-written by Jackie Jorgenson and Kevin Cheng, Donne di Fora follows two Sicilian sisters who arrive in mid-19th-century New York City seeking opportunity and a better future. When aspiring playwright Vittoria Spataro begins writing stories inspired by the people around her, those stories inexplicably begin manifesting in reality.

Among those caught in the crosshairs is Lin Zhen, a Taiwanese shopkeeper secretly planning to leave the city with the woman he loves. As intimate details of his life begin appearing in Vittoria’s plays, Zhen becomes convinced that her writing is more than artistic inspiration; it is a force capable of altering fate itself.

Drawing inspiration from Sicilian folklore, the title Donne di Fora references mystical “women from outside” associated with storytelling, transformation, and destiny.

“As an immigrant with Sicilian heritage, I wanted to explore the lengths people go to in pursuit of a better life,” said Jackie Jorgenson, creator of Tales From The Aether and co-writer of the season. “Donne di Fora is about hope in the face of uncertainty, the stories we tell ourselves to survive, and the complicated responsibility that comes with shaping narratives about other people.”

Co-writer and lead actor Kevin Cheng added, “Zhen’s story is ultimately about authorship. Who gets to tell your story, who benefits from it, and what happens when your life is interpreted by someone else’s imagination. While the season takes place in the 1800s, those questions feel incredibly relevant today.”
